About the event

Autistic students have deficits in social communication with same age peers. Therefore, it is best practice to provide them as many opportunities as possible in general education settings for them to learn and practice social communication skills. In this training, Emory Autism Center staff will present on a number of practical strategies for utilizing typically developing peers to support the social communication needs of students with autism spectrum disorder. Programming for students served in separate classroom and general education classroom settings will be discussed.
