About the event
Does your student get distracted easily and need to be repeatedly reminded to complete a simple task? Do they have emotional outbursts when plans suddenly change and then experience those negative emotions for a longer amount of time than their peers? Do they struggle to recognize when they become emotionally charged? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this training is for you. Designed for those who support, instruct, or work with students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), participants will learn about the importance of emotional self-regulation and explore a number of strategies for teaching this concept to students with ASD so the students acquire, apply, and generalize the skills.
