About Us
Welcome to Enhancing Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) Practices!
This training is designed with teaching and follow up in mind to aim to improve the implementation of LRE practices in schools by providing targeted training and fostering effective collaboration among principals, academic coaches, and co-teaching teams.

Phase 1: Needs Assessment and Goal Setting
The Purpose of Phase 1
-
Conduct surveys and focus groups with principals, academic coaches, and co-teaching teams to identify current challenges and areas for improvement in LRE practices.
-
Analyze student performance data and inclusion metrics to pinpoint specific areas needing attention.
-
Establish clear, measurable goals for the project based on the needs assessment.
-
Define success criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress.
Phase 2: Training Program Development and Delivery
Phase 2 consists of three different types of training: Administrator, Academic Coaches, and Co-Teaching Teams. Each training type is uniquely designed to fit the individual needs of the participants.
Training for an Administrator include topics such as Legal Requirements, Inclusive Education Strategies, and Leadership techniques to foster a supportive school culture.
Academic Coaches Training seeks to enhance coaches' ability to guide and support teachers in implementing LRE strategies. Content to include differentiated instruction, data-driven decision making, and effective coaching techniques. This training format will include intensive training sessions, ongoing professional development, and collaborative learning communities.
Co-Teaching Teams will be able to strengthen the collaborative efforts of both general and special education teachers to deliver high quality, inclusive instruction. Content to include co-teaching models, instructional strategies such as SDI, classroom management, and communication skills. Teachers can look forward to joint training sessions, co-planning workshops, and continuous coaching support.
Phase 3: Implementation and Monitoring
Phase 3 will see the continuation of the first 2 phases. It will be begin with Pilot Implementation where there will be a selection of a group of schools to pilot the training program and to provide ongoing support and resources to pilot schools, including access to expert consultants.
Ongoing Monitoring will utilize focus walkthroughs and participant feedback to monitor the project's progress. There will also be regular check-ins with principals, academic coaches, and co-teaching teams to address challenges and make necessary adjustments.
Phase 4: Evaluation and Scaling
Phase 3 will transition to Phase 4 where an evaluation will assess the training program's impact on LRE practices and student outcomes via surveys, interviews, and data analysis. From these surveys, we will identify strengths and areas for improvement based on evaluation results.
Through these means, there can be a plan to scale the successful elements of the training program to additional schools, and create a sustainability plan to ensure ongoing support and development.
