Attendance is a predictor of student success and graduation. Students who attend school are more likely to be successful in school and more likely to graduate high school and be successful. On October 26, 2017 through Statewide Partnering for Success, East Central GLRS staff and several of our local school districts participated in training on What Works Attendance. Strategies for increasing attendance were shared and districts looked at their data to determine barriers of student attendance and how to improve attendance in their districts. Many resources on increasing student attendance can be found on the What Works website: http://www.attendanceworks.org/what-works/ - Check out this website for great resources!
