About the event

Using the SETT framework, participants will feature-match assistive technology tools (low-tech to high-tech) for their students during transitions, academic routines, and activities of daily living to increase accessibility across a variety of tasks for all students. Participants will deconstruct common classroom activities and reconstruct them using multisensory and assistive technology options to increase participation and engagement, with multiple opportunities to practice communication at each student’s level. During digital make-and-take activities, participants will explore web-based

graphic design tools to create classroom materials to use on Monday. Teachers and SLPs will collaborate to incorporate multisensory options to support learners' participation in emerging literacy activities, such as dialogic reading, predictable chart writing, and the use of assistive technology and multisensory tools for writing/letters of the day.

*Participants should bring with them to the training:

1. Current Daily Schedule

2. Current Morning Meeting or Group Time Routine

3. Favorite Children’s Picture Book
