About the event

In this training, Emory Autism Center staff will present on why inclusion services, when done effectively, provide meaningful opportunities for students with autism spectrum disorder to learn and practice needed skills. Often, students are placed in general education settings such as PE, art, music, recess, and lunch with only the support of a paraprofessional. Other strategies must be used in order to make these services effective. Participants will be given practical strategies for supporting students with autism spectrum disorder in general education settings. Topics will include visual schedules, social stories, emotional regulation strategies, peer programming, and more.
